History
Emerald Pademelon Press was started in 1997 as a dba in Camden County by me, Susanna J Dodgson.
It was started to sell software marketed as XYFit that was produced as macros for MS Excel, because my work in the lab involved measuring a lot of half times, and calculating a lot of regression lines, and my personal German physicist could see that MS Excel was not up to it.
During that time I was learning how to see by taking art lessons, and learning how to write by swallowing whole grammar and style books and manuals, and by the end of 1998 I had discovered a profession called medical writer, and with a blinding flash, realized I was one.
And the German physicist remained in the Black Forest and has kept doing brilliant things with semiconductors and sensors, filing a lot of patents (search for EL Blossfeld Dipl Physik) and skiing and occasionally mysterious small and large packages (he sent 2 small refrigerators! why?) arrive for our son and daughter.
In 2001 EPP published 2 books, and in 2003, a third.
In 2003 EPP became Emerald Pademelon Press LLC because clients of medical writing needed a FEIN, and the business of EPP became primarily medical writing services.
In 2006 EPP became the publisher of record of Medical Journal of Therapeutics Africa.
