Talk on creating health in African countries in the continent of Africa and the Caribbean.
Presentation with handouts and informal discussion.

Pharmaceutical industry in countries of Africa. What laws and
regulations need to change for a pan-African pharmaceutical industry:
drug development, manufacturing and distribution. What can the
pan-African medical and science journal MJoTA bear witness to? Each
participant is expected to have read supporting documents before coming
to the meeting.
7:00-midnight
Dinner and discussion of the
medical city: a microcosm of a complete, indigenous pharmaceutical
industry. Development, leadership, investment, accountability,
transparency, buy-in, international donors, international investors,
local governments, local professionals. What has worked, what has not
worked. Each participant is expected to have read supporting documents
before coming to the meeting.

Business meeting MJoTA Africa Foundation; what country we have chosen, pros and cons, what steps we need to follow to make this work, what we need to do first, who we need to engage that we haven't, what we need in our standard operating procedures, what we need to put in place to ensure transparency and accountability, rules on accountability and transparency in hiring family, friends, and relatives, codes of behavior and dress, rules on lying (do not ever do it).
